Tuesday, October 27, 2026

  • The Wall That Heals with motorcycle escort arrives in Evansville - time and route information will be provided, once finalized.

Wednesday, October 28

  • Set up begins at 8 a.m. with soft opening at completion.
  • First volunteer shift begins at 2 p.m.
  • Volunteer training begins at 6 p.m.

Thursday, October 29

  • Official opening day
  • Welcome Home Ceremony  - Honors those on The Wall, veterans and Gold Star Families – 6 p.m.
  • Group Tours will be available. Tour schedule to follow. 
  • A solemn rendering of Taps on the bugle will be offered in honor of the fallen after sunset.
  • The Wall That Heals is open to the public 24 hours per day.   

Friday, October 30

  • Group Tours will be available. Tour schedule to follow.
  • A solemn rendering of Taps on the bugle will be offered in honor of the fallen after sunset.
  • A  Bringing the Light to PTSD Event will take place after sunset at 7 p.m.
  • The Wall That Heals is open to the public 24 hours per day.

Saturday, October 31

  • Group Tours will be available. Tour schedule to follow.
  • A solemn rendering of Taps on the bugle will be offered in honor of the fallen after sunset.
  • The Wall That Heals is open to the public 24 hours per day. 

Sunday, November 1

  • Closing Ceremony – 1:45 p.m.
  • The Wall That Heals closes at 2 p.m.
  • Volunteers begin wall breakdown at 2 p.m.
