Students should monitor their advising plan to anticipate proper graduation planning. If degree requirements will be completed in a spring or summer term, students should apply for graduation by October 1 of the preceding fall term. If requirements will be completed at the end of the fall term, students should apply for graduation by March 1 of the preceding spring term. It is important to note that academic advisors and program administrators do not have access to register students for graduation. Students will receive an email when it is time for graduation application. Students should understand that the graduation application process takes time and plan to complete the process correctly.
Commencement
Students are encouraged to attend commencement. A reservation for attendance is required and the form is available on the USI website: https://www.usi.edu/commencement
Diploma
Students need to go online to the Registrar website and complete the diploma form and a request to have the diploma mailed. Instructions can be found here: https://www.usi.edu/registrar/graduation-requirements/diploma-delivery
