Westside Brown Bag Summer Lunches - Feed Evansville is seeking volunteers to help with lunch distribution. From June 8 – July 20, Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. a volunteer will pick up no more than 30 already made lunches at a designated westside school and take them to Howell Pool (1045 S. Barker Ave.) to distribute. The volunteer will sit in the picnic area and distribute lunches to children who are on site. The volunteer will also keep track of the number of lunches being distributed per the forms that are provided.
Brown Bag Summer Lunch Preparation at CK Newsome Center (100 E Walnut St., Evansville, IN)
Volunteers needed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 9:00 am - 11:00 am (June 1 – August 7) Volunteers are needed to make lunches for all area pools and park programs. Volunteers will make sandwiches or wraps and assemble other items for delivery. Feed Evansville will be on site to guide assembly and quantity of lunches made.
Volunteers needed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 11:00 am - 11:45 am (June 1 – August 7) to pick up the lunches at CK Newsome Center and deliver them to the local pools participating in the program. Volunteers will be designated a specific pool when they arrive to pick up the brown bags.

Seton Harvest Summer Camp - July 13-17 Volunteers are needed to help teach children about gardening and other relevant topics. They will also assist with activities.
United Way of Southwestern Indiana
United Way of Southwestern Indiana’s Day of Caring falls on September 11, 2026 this year. United Way will be honoring the significance of this day during their kickoff breakfast and through service opportunities. Day of Caring begins at 7am at Old National Events Plaza with a kickoff breakfast. Volunteers head out to project sites around 8:30 am.
Sign-ups for organizations to register their volunteer opportunities are open June 8 – June 30.
Volunteer registration begins July 13 – August 14. Volunteers who sign up within these dates get a free Day of Caring t shirt and entry to the kickoff breakfast!

Maximillian Bodmer Exhibition volunteers
Historic New Harmony needs help staffing the museum. They haven’t been able to keep regular hours due to limited staff. This would be a great alumni or student opportunity for those who studied art or history.

About Maximillian Bodmer Exhibition in New Harmony: The exhibit showcases works from Karl Bodmer, a Swiss artist who accompanied German explorer Alexander Philip Maximilian, Prince of Weid, in 1832-1834. They had an extended stay in New Harmony and then traveled the Missouri River to present-day Montana, documenting the American landscape and Indigenous peoples.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

USI will be hosting The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile education center at the Broadway Recreational Complex on Broadway Avenue. Volunteers are needed for this exciting event!
