Submission Guidelines


Aims & Scope

  • There are no charges for submission and publication
  • The authors and readers do not pay to publish and read
  • Authors retain the copyright to their work

Article Types

  • Original Empirical Article - qualitative, quantitative, replication studies
  • Literature Reviews

Who can Submit

  • Any current undergraduate student or
  • Student who graduated from undergraduate degree within two (2) years 
  • Members and non-members of Psi Chi and USI Psi Chi Chapter 

Submission Requirements

  • Please download and read this document fully and follow the instructions as you are preparing your manuscript 

Submission Process

  • Submitted articles cannot have been previously published or be forthcoming in an archival journal or book
  • Your submitted article will go through a three-step process:
    • 1) Your submission will be pre-screened to ensure that all the parts of the manuscript are included
    • 2) Your anonymous manuscript will then be sent to two peer-reviewers who will review your manuscript and provide feedback
    • 3) Your manuscript can be
      • a) Accepted with minor or no revisions
      • b) Returned with a request for revisions and resubmission
      • c) Rejected
  • All accepted papers will be published electronically online on JUPR website and Scholarly Open Access Repository (SOAR) (USI Library) 
  • Maximum Word limit
    • Abstract: 250 words 
    • Article (not including abstract, references and tables/figures/diagrams): 4,000 words 
  • Tables/Figures/Diagrams
    • Up to 6 in total
